GIZMOS MP3s FROM 1976/1977: THE STUDIO RECORDINGS CD

"Amerika First"  Outtake version. Krazee Ken Highland's state of the union, 1976, written shortly after joining the Marines. Not long after he wrote the song, and before the Gizmos ever recorded it, the USMC had modified Ken's position: "I usedta believe it too till I got sick to my guts of the American ruse!"

"Pumpin' to Playboy"  The superior outtake version from 1976 (unreleased until this year), sung by Krazee Ken. The song is another example of the Gizmos' subtle sexual side (did I hear anybody chuckle?).

CRAWLSPACE MP3s

"O! sweet songburd" (from ¿Et II Bluto? CD) In order to assure continued misunderstanding, we present the most atypical of all Crawlspace tracks.

"Hey Cornshnapper! (Hoosier Mexican?)" (from ¿Et II Bluto? CD) A sweet little jam 'twixt Mex-Amerikan Joe Dean (bass) and Hoosier corn-magnate Mark McCormick (guitar), recorded while I was setting up microphones at a rehearsal way back in 1990.
