SAVAGE PENCIL'S ROCK 'N' ROLL NECRONOMICON
paperback book $40 Published in 1992 by Shock Publications. First Edition. From the introduction by Edwin "Savage Pencil" Pouncey: "The panels making up this grimoire originally appeared between the late 70's and early 80's in a now-extinct and hopelessly obscure 'rock' paper that vanished into a black hole in the swirling cosmos. As Armageddon rapidly approaches the time is right to again unleash their horrific contents upon an unsuspecting world... To let the dark and dreadful mumblings of such foul elder gods as Dal Motion, Dorian Bullock, Barry Kuda and Chopstick pollute the minds of mankind like an evil wind from the blackest star... I, for my part, renounce all responsibility for the harmful effect this monstrous material may have upon your humble Christian soul. But for the majority, already damned, my only utterance is a single mad word of all too obvious source... 'Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!' "

STAR SPECIAL $5
fanzine $17 1974. Edited by teenage Teri Farris in Rockaway Park, New York, Star Special was a very crude zine inspired by David Cassidy. There are 5 mimeographed pages, stapled in upper left corner, originally folded for mailing but has been stored flat. There's a photo of David on the front cover, a (late) review of David's Rock Me Baby album, gossip about Cassidy and other rock stars, plugs for other fanzines, astrology, etc. This is a very rare do-it-yourself teen item that never reached more than a few dozen people--a true artifact of the mid-70s.
