ANGRY SAMOANS: SONS OF MELLENCAMP 1987 flyer for gig at Creem magazine party $12

Flyer for the Sons of Mellencamp (Metal Mike Saunders and Gregg Turner from the Angry Samoans) appearing at a Creem magazine party in L.A. on April 21, 1987. Flyer is 8.5 " x 11", black and white. The Sons of Mellencamp was a "folk" duo comprised of the two afore-mentioned Angry Samoans, playing mostly cover songs; they did a handful of gigs in the late 80s, including this rock-mag function (Richard Meltzer came up to me as they were doing Cream's "Badge" and drunkenly yelled in my ear, "George Harrison played on the original Cream record!"; Rhino Records big-wig Harold Bronson looked startled and embarrassed as the Sons played a cover of "Party Games," originally recorded by Bronson's pre-punk band Mogan David & the Winos).

Excellent/Near Mint Condition
